History

Te Kura o Ngaati Hauaa was founded in 1955 and is a full Primary School located on Pukemoremore road at the base of Pukemoremore maunga. It is approximately 10km North East of Cambridge and 18km South of Hamilton.

Buildings are three single cell classrooms, staff room and toilets housed in one block. The library and administration office are in a separate building. A sports and general storage shed are located behind the classroom block.

The Ngaati Hauaa district has been predominately a dairy farming area; however, there are many small holdings of two to six hectares and horticultural properties becoming established. Our school community covers a diverse range of occupations, with a significant number of families coming from the Morrinsville, Cambridge, Tauwhare and Hamilton areas.
